Document Description
DFD staff will repair erosion damage along the SBA primary side road shoulder downstream of MM 15.70 and 15.75. The proposed work is temporary and includes placing visqueen sheeting and sandbags over the eroded areas. The erosion is ~500 feet long and ~70 feet wide in some areas. DFD staff will also backfill four holes in the road by placing one truckload or ~10 cubic yards of ¾ inch aggregate base (AB) in each hole. Total sf for erosion repair is ~40,000 sf. Access is via Mines Road.

The State Water Project provides significant and important services to many Californians. This project is exempt because it involves routine maintenance activities. This project will not result in impacts to special status species or habitat. Because this activity can be implemented without any significant environmental impacts, the Categorical Exemption Class 1 will be used for CEQA compliance.
