Document Description
The State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) as the responsible agency will be issuing a water supply permit. The June Lake Public Utility started construction to add a uranium treatment ion exchange pod in an existing treatment facility on July 27, 2017. A concrete pad 21-feet by 8.5 feet was installed and a 20-foot by 8-foot by 9.5-foot tall treatment pod was placed on the concrete. New 6-inch piping was installed to route the water to and from the treatment faciliy to the existing treated water tank. The ceiling was modified as needed, to fit the piping within the existing on-site building. The old chlorine injection point was moved to the new water line. The 6-inch diameter chemical feedline was extended to the new piping, and the old chemical feed line was removed.
