Document Description
The SWRCB as the lead agency will be issuing a water supply permit. On Feb 10, 2015, Indian Health Services drilled a 100-gallon per minute, 1,217-foot deep well. A 74,000-gallon, 30-foot diameter above ground storage tank was constructed and a packaged booster pump; which includes two 10-horsepower pumps, and 116-gallon bladder tank, was installed in August 2015. A 100-gallon tank was installed to store the brine from the 2 softener canisters, and a 50 gallon hypochlorite tank was installed to provide chlorine to the main line by a pump. The water softener and chlorination system is housed in a 7.2 foot tall, 60.5 foot metal building, constructed with fans, vents, and lights. The installation of the water softener, chlorination system, and housing was completed on March 10, 2017. The water system also provides fire protection by packaged fire booster system. The project is part of a larger youth regional treatment center that will staff a maximum of 70 employees and provide alcohol and drug abuse treatment services to up to 32 Native American Youths per year. The project will provide for the operation of the facilities.
