Document Description
CAL FIRE's Office of State Fire Marshal (OSFM), Fire and Life Safety Division, will add twenty-one staff positions to meet statutory obligations and mandates. The increased staffing exceeded the current allocated capacity at the OSFM Headquarters at 1131 S Street in Sacramento. Department of General Services has identified a new office building located at 2251 Harvard Street in Sacramento that can accommodate all the OSFM employees on the first and fourth floor. The OSFM will take over the entire 4th floor and house 128 people in approximately 32,900 sf of ffice space. A portion of the 1st floor identified as Suite 130, has 10,411 sf of office space and will accommodate 43 empolyees. Suite 130 is a shell and will need internal construction. The 4th floor will need some modification to create individual offices, install telecommunications, and cubicles.
