Document Description
Caltrans proposes an immediate emergency road repair of SR 26 in Calaveras County at PM 37.3 and 37.9 and in Amador County at PM 0.2 and 0.5 due to multiple weather related landslides and slip-outs. The scope of the project includes the removal and replacement of failed soil material; placement of rock slope protection; tree removal; and the removal and installation of a drainage culvert. The purpose of the project is to reconstruct the failed shoulder and roadway to prevent further slip-outs and pavement failure. The need of the project is to open SR 26 to motorists and ensure the safety of the travel way.
