Document Description
The project will backfill the undermined pile caps with grout and provides a rock mattress extending continuously from Pier 12 to Pier 1. The rock will be underlain with a geotexile filter fabric to prevent winnowing of fines of the native bed material through the voids in the rocks. The rock mattress will be four feet thick and consist of 200 pound rock and extend 25 ft on each side of the bridge.
