Replace the roof on the historic Livery Stable in San Juan Bautista State Historic Park to preserve and protect the facility. Work will: remove existing roofing, underlayments, nails, metal flashing and roof jacks; repair or replace in kind damaged skip board roof sheathing; install new redwood shingles over felt underlayment on the lower roof portions; and install new galvanized iron eaves and rake edge metal flashing over the plywood on the upper roof areas.

Project consists of replacement of existing structures or facilities where the new structure will be located on the same site and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity as the structure replaced, included as reroofing in the Parks and Rec's list of exempt activities, in accordance with CCR 15300.4; and the rehabilitation and preservation of historical resources in a manner consistent with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties with Guidelines for Preserving, Rehabilitating, Restoring, and Reconstructing Historic Buildings (1995), Weeks and Grimmer.
