Document Description
This project will remove and replace existing asphalt roadway surface within the park maintenance and office yard that is being uplifted by tree roots. The uplifting of the asphalt has caused a tripping hazard due to freezing conditions. The project will also include a crack and slurry seal to the area that is not removed/replaced, which will seal the existing cracks and stop the infiltration of water in the ground below, causing more cracking during winter months. The pooling also follows standing water to seep into existing cracks and crevices and when temperatures freeze, it causes more cracking to the existing asphalt. DPR-approved standard project requirements have been incorporated into this project. A copy of these requirements may be obtained by submitting a request to the project environmental coordinator.
