Document Description
Due to the continued rains and saturated soil conditions, a portion of Morgan Territory Road, approximately one mile south of Marsh Creek Road, began showing signs of sliding during the week of February 20, 2017. The movement from the landslide caused a break in an existing potable water service main line owned by Contra Costa Water District. The large soil mass has continued to slide, cracking the road surface to the point that the road is no longer passable. Morgan Territory Road is a major collector road for the residents of the area. Public works Department stall closed the road on either side of the slide area to all vehicular traffic (approximately 400' of roadway) on February 24, 2017.
