Document Description
Install a new 1500 gallon septic tank and abandon the existing septic tank and leach fields at the Maintenance Shop located within Portola Redwoods State Park to improve employee facilities. Work will: excavate an 8 ft deep by 6 ft wide by 8 ft long hole and install new prefabricated fiberglass septic tank, backfill with crushed rock to secure tank and backfill to grade with excavated soils; install cement collars and tank lids on septic tank; excavate a trench 2 ft deep by 8 in wide by 20 ft long, place 2 in of 3/4 base rock at bottom, install approx 20 ft of 4 in HDPE to connect new tank to maintenance building facilities, backfill to grade with excavated soils and replace asphalt as needed; excavate to install approx six bollards; back fill old septic tank with excavated soils to decommission; and haul any excess excavated spoils off site.
