The project is an upgrade to an existing water system to address water quality related to arsenic, at the Nile Garden Elementary School within the Manteca Unified School District. The project includes a new Well 30 located at Palmer Park and new water lines. Domestic supply at the school will utilize water from the Well 30 & existing well the School will be converted to non-potable use. Well 30, owned and operated by City of Manteca, will be constructed in City limits. The Manteca Unified School District previously identified themselves as lead agency; with the adoption of the project, the Mnd and the MMRP the city of Manteca intends to assume lead agency per CEQA guidelines Section 15052.
