Document Description
The project is a use permit and lot line adjustment to substitute one non-conforming use (junk yard) to a more restrictive or conforming use (self storage). The LLA will increase the existing 6-acre project site to approx. 8.89 acres. The 6 acres proposed for reuse is not farmed and is incapable of supporting ag production due to the parcel's long standing use as a junk yard. The applicant, Woodyard, LLC, is proposing to remediate approx 1 acre of the site that has been contaminated with hazardous waste by previous salvage yard operations. The proposed project will be used to fund the clean up effort. A draft remedial action plan has recently been submitted by the applicant to the CVRWQCB.
