Annexation of 18.7 acres located on the north side of Apple Avenue and Morris Way (APNs: 109-232-006 [Thorp site] and 109-232-007 [Tunzi site]) for development a new elementary school for the Greenfield Union School District on the 9.1 are Thorp site and residential development on the 9.6 acre Tunzi site. The elementary school project includes 45,611 sq. ft. of new construction with a capacity for 650 K-6 students with 30 classrooms, library/media center, resource classroom, special day class, multi-purpose room and a cafeteria, warming and serving kitchen, administration offices, restrooms, storage rooms, blacktop play area, kindergarten play area, field play area, and staff and visitor parking. The residential development includes 58 single family residential lots, a neighborhood park, a stormwater detention facility, public streets and sidewalks. Interim agricultural buffers on the north and west boundaries of the annexation area are provided consistent with the City/County/LAFCO Memorandum of Agreement.
