Document Description
The State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) as the lead agency will be issuing a water supply permit. The U.S. Marine Corps constructed a 1,000,000 gallon water tank approximately 34 feet tall by 85 feet wide, with an inner tank 58 feet wide. A float system was installed inside each tank. The tank construction included 2 12-inch overflow pipes and 2 6-inch drain pipes that drops into a 5 foot by 9 foot precast inlet structure. An electrical transformer, control panel, and water testing station was also installed on site. 2 8-inch diameter inlet pipes and 2 12-inch diameter outlet pipes were installed. A 375 foot dirt access road, not ove 40 feet in width, a 24 foot wide paved service road that circles the tank, fencing, and security lighting was also installed. The old 1,000,000 gallon Camp Wilson water tank was demolished. Construction was completed in December 2016. The project will provide for the operation of these facilities.
