Document Description
In light of and to mitigate for the potentially devastating consequences of failure of the lower Feather River levees that are threatened by lack of functionality of both spillways at Oroville Dam, SBFCA has identified certain emergency protection and advance mitigation measures along reaches south of Yuba city including the Laurel, Cypress, and Star Bend South levee sites and other non-improved reaches within the limits of Yuba City, including berm construction, fill in unused and unlined ditches, and placement of sandbag dikes and rings that it wishes to implement and/or construct as quickly as possible in order to protect the above-referenced levee sites from further deterioration and potential failure due to under seepage and through seepage.
