Document Description
Replace the existing septic tank and cesspool at the Goat Rock Residence at Sonoma Coast State Park with a leach field to provide improved services to the residence. Project will:
- Excavate an ~18"x30"x60' trench and install sewer line between the residence and existing tanks;
- Excavate ~36"x30"x75' for two infiltrator leach lines;
- Install a new septic tank adjacent to the existing tank and use material excavate for new tank to fill in the old septic and cesspool tanks; and
- Place seed and mulch (including native vegetation grubbed during excavation) over distributed soil to reduce erosion and propagate native vegetation.
No natural or cultural resources will be negatively impacted by this project.

Project consists of replacement or reconstruction of existing structures and facilities where the new structure will be located on the same site as the structure replaced and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity as the structure replaced and minor public alterations I the condition of land, water, and/or vegetation which do not involve the removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees except for forestry purposes, included as "Septic tank replacement" in the Department of Parks and Recreations list of exempt activities in accordance with CCR section 15300.4
