Document Description
Project will demonstrate the integration of a high efficiency natural gas engine heat pump (GEHP) with a high efficiency solar thermal evacuated tube collector (ETC) that could reduce domestic hot water (DHW) energy use in existing residential multi-family buildings in Los Angeles County. The project will also demonstrate a hot water controller that could reduce distribution line loses. The Recipient will complete technology performance and economic evaluations of the integrated system and of each separate system to calculate the contributions of each system to the whole.
