Document Description
Project consists of the design, development, and demonstration of a modular, cost-effective in-conduit hydroelectric system. Project will include the installation of a 73-kilowatt in-line hydroelectric turbine and generator at an existing municipal water district pressure reducing station. The project footprint will be situated in a sq. area of approx. 150 feet per side, and will require some minor trenching to place fittings, diversion valves and realign some existing raw water piping. The property is currently developed and functions as a pressure reducing and water storage facility with two above-ground water storage tanks and an existing building adjacent. There are no known historic, cultural, or environmental resources on the developed property. The project owner will be the San Gabriel Valley Water Company. The project will be grid connected and falls within SCE's service territory.
