On 1/11/17 a large sinkhole formed on Miner Road near the intersection with Camino Lenada. Miner Road was immediately closed to through traffic. Miner Road is a two lane and one of the most important collector streets in Orinda. This project will permanently repair the sinkhole and re-open Mine Road to traffic in both directions.

On 1/11/17 a large sinkhole formed on Miner Road near the intersection with Camino Lenada. Miner Road was immediately closed to through traffic. ON 1/12/17 the City Manager issued a declaration of a local state of emergency. On 1/17/17 the City Council ratified the Local State of Emergency. Miner Road continues to be closed to through traffic. Miner Road is a two-lane and one of the most important collector streets in Orinda.
