Document Description
The CCWA and MWD Water Exchange Agreement will provide for CCWA to make a portion of its SWP water stored in San Luis Reservoir available to MWD in exchange for a return of water in 2017, when CCWA anticipates that it will be able to beneficially use the water. On February 1, 2017, CCWA will transfer up to 20,000 acre-feet of water stored by CCWA in San Luis Reservoir to MWD. The point of delivery for all Exchange Water shall be San Luis Reservoir, located in Merced County. For every three acre feet of Exchange Water delivered to MWD, MWD shall return to CCWA two acre feet of MWD's SWP water stores in San Luis Reservoir at a mutually agreeable delivery date prior to December 31 2017. The point of delivery for all return water shall also be San Luis Reservoir.
