Document Description
SRWA proposes to operate an existing infiltration gallery to withdraw up to 30,000 acre-ft per year in phase 1 of water from the Tuolumne River; convey it to a new water treatment plant; and convey the treated water through transmission mains to storage facilities in Ceres and Turlock. The surface water that would be provided as part of the proposed project would assist the cities in achieving sustainable groundwater pumping levels. In addition, 2,000 afy of offset water provided to TID would assist TID in implementing its water conservation and conjunctive water use programs.
