Document Description
The project is construction of the Cottle Trail along a modified route from the approved Calero County Park Trails Master Plan. The Trails Master Plan and associated IS/MND was available for public review and adopted by the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors in October 2013. Trail length under the project and the trails master plan would be similar, approx 1.3 mi, and there would be no change to the trail width, permitted use, or construction method. Trail construction would consist of a permanent, 10-ft corridor, with a five foot wide, natural surface trail and an additional 2.5 ft on either side for trail maintenance and vegetation management. Staging areas would be located along the constructed trail, and would fall within the 10-ft permanent impact buffer.
