Document Description
Caltrans is proposing to replace 28 culverts along a 33 mile segment of SR 96 in Siskiyou county. The culverts would be sized based on regional base flood estimates, and would have a min diameter of 24 in. The scope of work to replace existing culverts with larger culverts includes trenching, jack boring, installing rock slope protection, installing new or replacement headwalls at some locations, and temporarily diverting stream flow at approx. 4 locations. Two diff construction methods will be employed: cut-and-cover replacement and pipe jacking replacement.
