Document Description
The project includes the modernization and capacity recovery of three miles of PID's main conveyance system (reaches 1 through 5), ending at US 33 and Southern Pacific Railroad's right way. Reach 1 of the existing canal will be replaced with a new 195 CFS lined canal, reaches 2 and 4 with 195 CFS pumping plants and pipelines, reached 3 and 5 with 195 CFS lined canal, two new 195 CFS pump stations, decommissioning of sediment basins 3 and 5, decommissioning of pumping plants 3 and 5, canal reaches 2 and 4 will be decommissioned and removed from service, 9 aging laterals will be replaced, and 12 aging customer turnouts along the main canal will be replaced.
