Document Description
The East Creek Restoration Project encompasses 118 acres of meadow owned by the Shasta Forest Timberlands, LLC and Red River, LLC, and managed by Beaty & Associates. The 118-acre project area is defined by an incised main channel emerging on the north side of the meadow, two side channels on the south end of the meadow that appear to have been a result of human activity, and an incised two-track road running perpendicular to the meadow's flow pattern near the bottom of the project area. Flows from the upper watershed appear to be directed into the incised channel above the project area by the road that runs along the southern edge of the meadow. The incised channel, with an average depth of 2.27 ft., may be the result of several ditches intended to disperse water to various parts of the meadow.
