The overall purpose of the Proposed Project is to close the Ukiah Landfill in accordance with applicable regulatory standards. Specifically, the components and systems required for closure of the landfill include the final cover and grading design to control stormwater, potential infiltration, future settlement, landfill slope stability, construction quality assurance, drainage and erosion control systems, landfill gas control and monitoring systems, groundwater/surface water monitoring systems, and site security.
