The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has amended Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number EPIMS-SDO-25035-R5, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code for the project Applicant, City of Chula Vista. The project proposes the demolition of the existing 54-foot-wide by 82-foot-long steel girder and timber deck bridge, and construction of a new 130-foot-wide by 454-foot long cast-in-place, pre-stressed concrete box girder bridge. This project has been amended to substitute the original compensatory mitigation of mitigation bank credit purchase, at the Otay River Restoration Project, for a combination of on-site restoration and a security to preserve funds for purchase of mitigation credits at a different mitigation bank in the County of San Diego, at a future time.
