Document Description
The proposed project is the reconstruction of the North School site and entails the demolition of existing structures onsite, extending the site footprint eastward over approx. 0.09 acre of vegetated slope; construction of new school facilities; and reopening the property to accommodate a maximum enrollment capacity of 510 elementary students. A surface parking lot with 41 stalls would be developed on the western side of the campus, and vehicle access would be provided from 25th Street. A two-story classroom building is proposed along 25th Street, and a multipurpose building is proposed along 26th Street near Morningside Dr. An asphalt playground would be developed between the two buildings, and a natural field would be installed on the eastern side of the campus. The proposed improvements would be funded by measure S, which was approved by the District's constituents in June 206; the District Plans to apply for matching state bond dollars through the state school facilities program.
