Document Description
The SWRCB as the lead agency will be issuing a water supply permit. The Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton South Water System proposes to remove a 104,000 gallon steel tank, 38.5 feet wide by 16 feet tall, and replace it with a 109,000 gallon bolted steel glass lined tank, 30.8 feet wide by 25 feet tall. The tank will be equipped with an 8 inch diameter Solar bee mixer inside the reservoir and 40.8 inch by 20.8 inch by 1.4 inch solar panels on the roof to power the mixing of the tank. An 8-10 inch diameter pipe will bring treated water to the tank. Another 8-10 inch pipe will connect the reservoir to the distribution system through which water will be pumped to customers and used for fire protection. 12-inch diameter overflow piping will also be installed. The current fence will be replaced with an 8-foot barbwire fence. A 100,000 gallon temporary bladder and 2 temporary pumps will be used to pump and hold water during the construction process. This project will provide for the operation of the facilities.
