Document Description
This project involves the removal of hazard trees, replacing leach lines and periodic jettisoning of excess fire suppression chemicals from air tankers onto grassland at the Rohnerville Air Attack Base within the Humboldt-Del Norte CAL FIRE operational unit. There are 22 Monterey-knobcone pine hybrid trees scattered throughout the property that infrastructure. The trees will be felled and the stumps removed by grinding or excavation. If excation is used to treat the stumps minor back filling of the stump holes will be required, which will be accomplished by the use of a backhoe or small excavator. During the work required to remove the stumps, less than one acre of soil will be disrupted.
