Document Description
The Project will vegetate two Northern Chumash shell middens that are located in the northern portion of the Dune Preserve. The middens will be vegetated with native seeds and plants to conceal the area from visitors. Certified weed free straw will be hand scattered over the middens and into the sand to cover seeds, slow down the wind, and capture the blowing sand. No heavy equipment will be used during this project and light hand tools will be used.
