Document Description
Santa Clara is in need of additional water supplies to meet the critical water supply needs. Up to 8,259 acre feet of approved SWP water supplies from Napa will be delivered to Santa Clara via the South Bay Aqueduct (SBA) or to San Luis Reservoir at Turnout 59 by December 31, 2016. Santa Clara will return to Napa up to 4,130 acre-feet from Santa Clara's future SWP water supplies by December 31, 2026. Tis will result in an unbalanced exchange ratio of 2 to 1. The water delivered to Santa Clara and the water returned by Santa Clara to Napa will be accomplished using SWP, Napa and Santa Clara existing facilities.
