Document Description
Staff gages will be modified by painting or placing plate numbers of existing gages. For ages that are stage specific, the task may include a brief topographical survey to establish the starting elevation at the base of the staff gages. The modifications are necessary in order to correct any changes in surface elevations due to subsidence in the area, vandalism, or normal wear and tear. A ladder, paint, surveying equipment, cordless drill, and up to two one-ton trucks to transport personnel will be used to complete the work. The data collection will benefit the Department of Water Resources in flood control operations and also the public.
