Reasons for Exemption
The project will facilitate the recovery of state-listed plant species by collecting information on populations via voucher specimen collection and maintenance of a herbarium. Conservation of state-listed plants will also be achieved through conservation seed collection for long-term storage, and related research on seed viability. The project may also involve propagation of plants for conservation purposed approved by CDFW.
