- The Upper Sacramento River Anadromous Fish Habitat Restoration Project consists of removing fill material from the mouth of a side channel located on the western side of Reading Island near cottonwood. The existing fill and culverts will be removed to allow river water to flow again through the historic channel. A full span bridge will be installed to retain the existing driveway access. The goal of the project is to return natural channel flows, which will restore fish spawning and rearing habitat.
