Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2019-0512-R1, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, California Trout, Inc. The project is limited to fish passage and protection work on the Hart-Haight Diversion located on the Little Shasta River. This work includes: 1) replacing the existing diversion infrastructure with a CDFW and National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) compliant in-canal fish screen, 2) realigning approximately 180 feet of stream channel to accommodate the new intake structure and fish screen, 3) creating an engineered roughened channel to provide fish passage for all life stages of fish, 4) removing the existing concrete and flash board diversion structure and fish screen, and 5) long-term maintenance of the roughened channel.
