Document Description
El Dorado County, in conjunction with Caltrans and FHWA, proposes to 1) replace an existing, functionally obsolete, 24 feet long, 19.6 feet wide bridge structure built in 1945, with a new bridge approx. 32 feet long and 32 feet wide, that meets current safety standards, and 2) widen the road geometry approaching the bridge from both sound-bound and north-bound directions. The new bridge will have two 12-foot lanes and two 3-foot shoulders and guardrails. Construction will be done in stages and one lane will be open during the construction season to allow for through traffic.
