Document Description
DTSC has approved three Removal Action Work Plans (RAWs) for the former Naval Petroleum Reserve no. 1 (NPR-1) property (hereinater "the Site") pursuant to Ch. 6.5 of the of the CA Health & Safety Code. The RAWs address the excavation of landfill material/debris and potentially impacted soil that may release chemicals of concern (COCs) at levels that may pose a risk to human health. The documents evaluated remedial action alternatives and selected preferred actions to address the three Areas of Concern (AOCs) as identified in the Corrective Action Consent Agreement, signed by the U.S. Dept. of Energy (DOE) and DTSC in 2008. The selected remedial action alternatives include excavation of soil/debris and landfill materials at the AOCs.
