Document Description
The Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) approved seven Remedy Selection and Statement of Basis (RSSB) document and three Interim Measures/Removal Action Workplans (IM/RAW) for the former Naval Petroleum Reserve No. 1 (NPR-1), California, (hereinafter “the Site”). The seven RSSBs are for Areas of Concern (AOC) 030-001, -003, 038-003, 044-001, -002, 053, 072, 073-001, -002 and the three IM/RAWs are for AOCs 115-001, 119-005, -018, and 125-016. The IM/RAWs contain proposals to remediate AOCs with concentrations of chemicals of concern (COCs) at levels that may pose a risk to human health and the environment. DTSC has regulatory authority to approve this action pursuant to California Health and Safety Code, Chapter 6.5.
