Document Description
The Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) approved seven Interim Measures/Removal Action Work Plans (IM/RAWs) and a Second Addendum to the CEQA Programmatic Initial Study for the former Naval Petroleum Reserve No. 1 (NPR-1), California, (hereinafter “the Site”).
The seven IM/RAWs are for Areas of Concern (AOC) 012-004, 020-002, 038-002, 074-002 and 074-003, 082-002, 155-002. The IM/RAWs contain proposals to excavate or remediate impacted soil with concentrations of chemicals of concern (COCs) at levels that may pose a risk to human health and the environment. the Second Addendum to the CEQA Programmatic Initial Study adds several AOCs to the Programmatic Initial Study. DTSC has regulatory authority to approve this action pursuant to California Health and Safety Code, Chapter 6.5.
