Caltrans proposes to improve safety at the existing westbound I-8 between Hotel Circle and the junction with I-5 within the City of San Diego, CA. The I-8 Safety Improvements Project (Project) proposes to add one lane and enhance striping and signage between PM R0.1. to 2.0 along west bound I-8. The proposed modifications will provide operational and mobility improvements that will enhance safety and help alleviate traffic conflicts and queuing on I-8 approaching the connectors with I-5.
