Document Description
The project would involve implementation of a response plan to address soil and groundwater contamination at the site, which would involve soil vapor extraction, monitored natural attenuation, and institutional controls. Shallow, mid-depth, and deep SVE wells would be installed and connected to an SVE treatment system. About 1,600 linear feet of trenching would be required to install the piping. The treatment system would be housed in a ventilated building enclosure equipped with insulation for noise reduction. A site management plan would be used to mitigate potential health and safety risks to tenants and shoppers. SVE system emissions would be monitored for compliance with required San Diego Air Pollution Control Distract permits.
