SCAQMD staff if proposing new Rule 1430 - Control of Emissions From Metal Grinding Operations at Metal Forging Facilities, to reduce toxic emissions, particulate matter emissions, and odors from metal grinding and metal cutting operations at metal forging facilities located in industrial, commercial, or mixed land use areas throughout the entire SCAQMD jurisdiction. Proposed rule 1430 does not apply to grinding or cutting operations that are conducted under a continuous flood of metal removal fluid.
