Document Description
This Project involves the construction of a 900-student transitional kindergarten through eighth-grade school on a 12-acre undeveloped, vacant agricultural site. The school site will include approximately 36 classrooms divided among several classroom buildings, an administrative/library building, parking lot, driveways, sidewalks, landscaping, and underground utilities at the eastern and southern portions of the site. The Project was originally part of the Santana Ranch and take of Covered Species was authorized under ITP No. 2081-2013-032-04. The Project portion of Santana Ranch was sold to the Permittee necessitating acquisition of a new ITP for the Permittee. The Project will permanently remove 12 acres acres of California tiger salamander (Ambystoma californiense) (CTS) upland habitat. The Project is expected to result in incidental take of CTS which is designated as a threatened species under the California Endangered Species Act. The ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of species listed under CESA that may occur as a result of Project implementation.
