Document Description
The project consists of leasing office space and making minor interior renovations so that the office can accommodate three State Fire Marshals. Currently, staff is occupying two separate offices. One office is located at 2120 Campton Road in Eureka, CA, and the other is located at 3201 Esplanade in Chico, CA. To ensure appropriate service levels, a central office has been identified to relocate three State Fire Marshals, a State Fire Marshal Supervisor, and a Division Chief.

The project consists of leasing and renovating existing office space that is within an office complex. The office will be occupied by four State Fire Marshall Office employees. CCR Section 15301, Class 1 consists of the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, Facilities, mechanical equipment or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond that existing at the time of the lead agency's determination. This project fall under 15301(a) interior or exterior alterations involving such things as interior partitions, plumbing, and electrical conveyances.
