Activities include exploratory soil boring (for mud rotary tests), cone penetrating tests (CPTs), or seismic CPTs within the public rights-of-way. Truck-mounted or track-mounted equipment would drill 5- to 8-inch diameter boreholes or perform CPTs or SCPTs. Piezometers might be installed for long-term groundwater monitoring.
