Caltrans proposes to replace the Simmerly Slough Bridge on SR 70 by constructing a parallel structure to the west of the existing bridge. The existing bridge will be demolished after the new bridge is constructed. Other proposed work includes realigning the approach roads at both ends of the bridge as well as constructing a new access road to Laurellen Rd.
