- The Monterey Bay Salmon and Trout project proposes to acclimate CDFW hatchery-raised Central Valley juvenile fall-run Chinook Salmon at Santa Cruz Harbor for 1-3 hours and then release them into the Pacific Ocean. The project's objective is to enhance an existing commercial and recreational ocean fishery. The Commercial Salmon Trollers Advisory Committee recommends this project. The CDFW is partnering with MBSTP on this acclimation project.
