Document Description
The city of San Pablo is proposing to construct fiber-optic cables to the premises infrastructure upon which the city would allow private-sector service providers to offer communication services, including internet, voice-over internet protocol, and video service in the city. The proposed San Pablo Municipal Broadband project includes the installation of the fiber-optic ring, spur lines, and aggregators that connect to the fiber-optic cables would travel along existing streets into vaults or utility cabinets and to and from the handholes/cabinets directly to customers. The project would be constructed primarily in public ROWs, with limited facilities on either public land or commercial property, and adjacent to a variety of existing land uses.
