Document Description
DTSC is considering approval of the record of decision that presents the selected remedy for a non time critical remedial action at installation restoration site 2, patrol road landfill. The site consists of unit 1 and unit 2. Chemicals of concern at unit 1: construction debris, arsenic, hexavalent chromium, aluminum, manganese, lead; unit 2: construction debris, arsenic, hexavalent chromium, benzopyrene, aluminum, manganese, 4, 4-DDE,4,4-DDT, antimony, cadmium, total chromium, copper, lead. The selected remedy includes: removal and off site disposal of approximately 30 cy of construction debris in unit 1, excavation of all surface debris at unit 2, asphalt landfill cap over landfill contents at unit 2, long term postclosure groundwater and landfill gas monitoring, and land use controls.
